We combined what we knew: Liam's eye for cards, Declan's habit of turning hobbies into little businesses, my background in building products and plans, and one big rule — never talk down to kids.

I'm the step-dad and builder behind Poképreneurs. When Liam and Declan started treating their collections like real businesses, I realized there wasn't a parent-friendly place to teach kids the business side of collecting. So I built one — part education platform, part safety toolkit, and part playbook for families who want to raise financially smart kids without boring them to death.
Liam Goodwin
Liam is 13 and has been collecting trading cards since he was 8. He's made great trades, bad trades, and everything in between — and he believes the best way to learn is by showing your work. He runs the Card Gallery, tests every lesson, and makes sure Poképreneurs sounds like a real kid, not a grown-up pretending to be one.
Declan Goodwin
Declan is 15 and the one who keeps the lights on. He handles the website, the newsletter, and the spreadsheets that make sure every lesson is clear and useful. He's the reason our free Playbook exists and the one who reminds the team that teaching money skills should feel like a game, not homework.
Aaron Bare
I'm Aaron, a step-dad who lucked into two ambitious kids: Liam and Declan. When their Pokémon card obsession stopped being "just a hobby" and started sounding like late-night negotiations over market value, payback periods, and whether a Charizard was actually a liquid asset, I saw something most parents miss — a real chance to teach business.
I built Poképreneurs because the kitchen table shouldn't be the only classroom for this stuff. Kids deserve a place that speaks their language — cards, trades, rarity, condition — and turns it into lessons about value, patience, planning, and risk. I wanted the site to feel like a clubhouse, not a school, and to give parents a tool they could trust.
My mission is simple: raise a generation of kids who understand money before they have to manage it. I believe the best business education happens early, often, and through something a kid already cares about. Trading cards are the Trojan horse for real financial literacy — margins, negotiation, due diligence, and long-term thinking.
